KeepMic is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information.
Data Collection
KeepMic does not collect any personal data.
The app operates entirely on your device and:
- Does not track your usage
- Does not collect analytics
- Does not send any data to external servers
- Does not require an internet connection to function
Microphone Access
KeepMic requires access to monitor microphone changes to provide its core functionality. This permission is used solely to:
- Detect when the system's default microphone changes
- Switch back to your preferred microphone automatically
KeepMic does not record, store, or transmit any audio data.
Data Storage
KeepMic stores your preferences locally on your device using macOS's standard UserDefaults system. This includes:
- Your preferred microphone selection
- Whether monitoring is enabled
- Launch at login preference
This data never leaves your device and is removed when you uninstall the app.
Third-Party Services
KeepMic does not use any third-party services, analytics tools, or advertising networks.
Children's Privacy
KeepMic does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
